Seasonal Rates

 

If you are leaving your home for an extended period of time, you may wish to place your services on a Seasonal Account Maintenance Plan.

 

By enrolling in the Account Maintenance Plan all of your important subscriber information will remain in our customer billing database. This means that your telephone number, information listing, and directory listing all remain active, even when your phone service is disconnected. Your telephone and enhanced services will be automatically restored at a predetermined date, using your same telephone number, without the need to contact our office. Your services can be on Seasonal Maintenance for a maximum of six months and a minimum of 30 days.

Expanded Local Calling within 906 Area Code

 

We've recently updated our U.P.-wide calling plan. Customers can now make unlimited calls to anywhere in the Upper Peninsula TOLL FREE.

 - Calls made within the U.P. are to be dialed using the last 7 digits of the phone number (xxx-xxxx).

        - To qualify, you must be a subscribed customer to MTC.

        - Calls must terminate to a number in the 906 area code.

 - Directory Assistance is available by dialing 411. Assistance is billed on a per call basis.

Single Party Residential Rate

 

Midway Telephone Company provides single party residential service (with unlimited local 906 calling) for $30.00* per month for customers within the Golden Lake, Trout Creek, and Watton exchanges.

This includes access to:

 - Long distance carriers

 - Emergency services

 - Operator services

 - Directory assistance

 - Telecommunications Relay Services

 - Other services designed for persons with disabilities

 - Toll blocking

Use of these services may result in added charges.

In addition, the Midway Telephone Company provides one copy of its annual local directory without charge. Touch Tone service is available at no additional charge per month.

Lifeline Discounted Telephone Service

Since December 1, 1990, the Midway Telephone Company has offered qualified customers Lifeline Service. If you are a low income customer, you may qualify for Midway Telephone Company’s Lifeline Program. This means you may receive a monthly discount for your basic phone charges. This service also includes discounted toll blocking for qualifying customers. Lifeline is a federal program that provides customers with limited incomes a discount on basic as well as more advanced combinations of services.

Jamadots Long Distance
