The NFL season is nearly over, but the action continues on your Roku player! After you stream the big game for the first time ever, we have enough live sports options to last you until next year’s big game. From the NBA to the NHL and everything in between, you won’t want to leave the couch. Besides, who wants to go to the game if you have to sit in the nosebleed section and pay $12 for a hot dog?

Here’s how to stream live sports on the Roku platform:

Sports Networks

  • WatchESPN (Authenticated, and those without a pay TV subscription can access latest news clips): ESPN is a must have for any sports fanatic. Access live sports like the NFL, NBA, MLB, The Masters and The Open Championships, College Football and Basketball, all 4 Grand Slam tennis events, and thousands more live events airing on the ESPN networks.

  • CBS Sports (Free): Live and on demand video of select CBS Sports content (including the NFL Playoffs and more).

  • NBC Sports Live Extra (Authenticated, but no login required for highlights): Watch top live sporting events like Sunday Night Football, the NHL, Premier League, NASCAR, PGA Tour, Notre Dame football, Tour de France, Formula One, IndyCar, The Triple Crown and more.

  • BTN2go (Authenticated): Select live and non-televised college sports games and programming including basketball, football, and more from the Big Ten Network.

NFL

  • DIRECTV Sunday Ticket ($49.99 per month): If you live in a market where DirecTV is not available, you can stream all out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular season NFL games. If you’re not a fan of your local team like myself, you’ve gotta subscribe to the Sunday Ticket!

MLB

  • MLB.tv ($109.99 or $129.99 season subscription options): Watch every out-of-market regular season and postseason MLB game. You also have the option to choose the home or away feed, or just listen to the ballpark’s natural sounds!

NBA

  • NBA ($169.99 per season): Stream all out-of-market NBA games via NBA League Pass and gain access to classic NBA games (like when my Warriors took home the championship last year).

NHL

  • NHL ($131.49 per season): Watch out-of-market regular season games of every team live from around the league. One of the coolest features on the NHL channel is the ability to access the NHL Vault, which allows you to relive classic games dating back to the 1960s.

UFC

  • UFCTV ($9.99 for UFC Fight Pass, or you can purchase PPV events): Get live and on-demand access to UFC events as well as classic fights. You can also check out press conferences, weigh-ins, and fighter interviews without a login.

Soccer

  • MLS Live ($79.99 per season): Watch hundreds of out-of-market regionally televised matches not available with your cable package. You’ll also get access to six years of archived MLS matches!

  • NGSN ($8.99 per month with a one month free trial): Watch the best of worldwide soccer in HD from 12 key leagues around South America, Europe, and Asia.

Tennis

WWE

  • WWE Network ($9.99 per month with a one month free trial): Stream with unlimited access to WWE original content and watch every WWE PPV from the Royal Rumble to Wrestlemania live.

Extreme Sports

  • Red Bull TV (Free): Gain access to live sporting events including surfing, snowboarding, the famous Red Bull Air Race and more. Also, you can tune in to live music festivals around the globe.

Happy streaming!
